A Security System is your best defense against burglars, home invasions or household disasters. A security system will give you piece of mind when at home or away.

Security systems are typically monitored through a Central Station via a telephone line. They can also be monitored through a Cellular Communication device.

Today's security systems can monitor for fire, water leaks, freeze conditions and much more. They can even control the lighting in your home by turning lights on or off when you arm/disarm the system or when there is an alarm condition.

Motion Detectors

Passive Infrared Motion Detectors are used in security systems to detect motion within your home or business when the security system is armed. They look for differences in infrared radiation to detect movement. If the device is not positioned correctly it can cause false alarms due to pet traffic, fireplace heat etc. Motion detectors are usually bypassed when your system is armed to "stay".

Wireless Door & Window Sensors

Wireless door and window sensors are easy to install because they do not require running wires to the device. The control panel continuously monitors the device and will alert you when the batteries are low.

Wired Door & Window Sensors

Wired door and window sensors are commonly used in new construction. They can be recessed in door and window frames where they become virtually invisible. Wired devices are much cheaper than wireless ones but you have more labor to install them.

Glass Break Detectors

Glass break detectors will detect someone breaking a window or door glass. They will generally cover a large area but are not very effective when the sound must come around a wall or from an adjoining room. Glass break detectors are armed all the time so even if your system is disarmed it will still function.

Carbon Monoxide CO2 Detectors

Carbon Monoxide Detectors detect the presence of CO2 gas. They function whether the system is armed or not.

Smoke Detectors

Your home should already have smoke detectors installed in all bedrooms and outside each bedroom. The smoke detectors installed with a security system are monitored by a central station. If this detector goes into alarm the Fire Dept will be dispatched. Just having one monitored smoke detector in your home can save you as much as 20% on your home owners insurance.

Water Sensors

Water Sensors are generally used where your water heater is located but can also be used under sinks, utility sinks, basements etc. These sensors work whether the security system is armed or not.

Freeze Sensors

Freeze Sensors will go into alarm if the temperature at the sensor location goes below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. These sensors work whether the security system is armed or not.

Keypad

The security system keypad is where you arm and disarm the system.

Key Fobs

Key fobs are a convenient way to arm and disarm your system. When you arrive home you can disarm the system from the fob and have the pathway to the kitchen illuminated.

Indoor Siren

Indoor sirens are very loud and need to be mounted in a location that a wire can be installed.

Strobe

Strobe lights are excellent devices for the hearing impaired or used anywhere you require a visual alert.

Outdoor Siren

Outdoor sirens are very loud. Your neighbors will know when your system goes into alarm.

Colored Strobe

Strobe lights can be installed with the outdoor siren. This is a convenient way to alert the Fire Dept or Police of your location. They will be able to see the flashing light even if they don't hear the siren over their own.
